  1. 5 out of 5

My 5th trek with nature-treks ‘Taste of Community Eco-Lodge Trek in Annapurna’ area was something special. With Vimal as guide and Bijay assistant ensured our trek will be an adventure never to forget. Vimal’s enthusiasm and knowledge is second to none on all from local culture to birds, nature and mountains. This he willing shared with us enabling all to gain a full understanding and insight into local life and the breath taking surroundings. Heather Falconer, UK, Annapurna Circuit (4 Nov-15 Nov 2010) and Annapurna Dhaulagiri Community eco-treks (18 Nov – 24 Nov 2010)

  2. 5 out of 5

Just back from my 5th trek with (part of the Borderlands Group, Thamel Kathmandu). Every trek has been an adventure but this last one was something extra special. A Community Eco-Lodge Trek in the Annapurna region, away from the normal trekking areas. The trek takes you to the heart of the communities, through idyllic forest paths, terraced fields and along ridges giving outstanding views of the Himalaya range from mighty Dhaulagiri in the west To Jugal range and beyond in the east . Watching the sunrise at Mohare was spectacular, to me, far better than Poon Hill. Don’t forget your camera!!! Our guide’s incredible knowledge of nature, culture and mountains ensured we had a full insight into the whole area, and gained so much useful information. The whole team worked as one available when needed without being over powering. Meeting with the local communities gave us a real feel of village life, especially at the homestays. Not only is this a great trek, offered by a first class company,, and the communities run the guest houses, dinning halls and homestays. All the profits are used by the communities to improve local amenities so trekkers are helping communities help themselves. A project worthy of support! Heather Falconer, UK 6 days Annapurna Community eco-lodge treks: 18th Nov – 24th Nov 2010
