We organise guided tours to the most interesting places in Aosta Valley, including the many castles and ancient churches, as well as, certainly, the ancient Roman city of Aosta, which is the capital of the Aosta Valley Region.
We provide you with a half-day tour composed by a guided visiting of Aosta town and one of medieval castles of your choice:
The main city attractions of Aosta are: the Roman Bridge, the August Arc, the historical heart of the town perfectly conserved and surrounded by walls, the theatre and the Roman Amphitheatre, and the Collegiata di Sant’Orso, which includes the Romanesque Cloister, the church and the Paleo-Christian basilica.
The Fenis Castle, rightfully the most notorious among the Aosta Valley Castles, is one of the major examples of military and civil architecture of sec. XIV e XV.
The Royal Sarre castle dominates the entrance to the Valley. It’s located in Lalex on a hillock in the Aosta basin. Built in 1710 on the ruins of an even older settlement (12th century), after various owners, the building became the summer residence of the House of Savoy. It is currently the museum for the presence of the House of Savoy in the Aosta Valley.
