Cherai is situated on Northern end of the Vypeen Island. It is 25km far from Cochin Airport and 30 km far from Cochin. From Fort kochi you wiil be transferred to Vypeen Island by jhankar service(Big boat :carry vehicle and passengers) and from there cherai is 22km. It is well known for its pristine beauty. Cherai offers sandy beach with shining blue water on one hand and mesmerizing lake with lazy lagoons on the other. The beach extends up to 18km but 1km walk to one side will take you to Kuzzupilly beach and other side will take you to Munambam Beach which is perfect place to sit, enjoy views surrounded by walkways are enjoyable for every visitor and suitable for night walk as well. Cherai beach is shallow and calm which is suitable for swimming and sunbathing. The scenic beauty,the ambience and advantage of backwaters and beach together makes it picture perfect destination. At cherai you can also visit Coir weaving factory, Fishing harbor and Handloom Weaving Center. Dolphins are occasionally found here. This is 6 hour tours you may start as per your suitable time. Visit to cherai anytime during day is fascinating.

Itinerary: Pick up from Fort Cochin/Cochin Port/Cochin hotel, transfer to Cherai beach covering one hour drive. On arrival visit Cherai Beach, Kuzhuppily Beach – Enjoy swim, stroll or sit to enjoy the charming destination. Later visit Munambam Beach walkways and fish harbour. Watch Chinese fishing net, lakes and lagoons, Enjoy Kerala lunch at Restaurant (fixed Menu) . If it is sunset time then enjoy sunset and drive back to fort kochi.
