Learn the processes behind making chocolate at the chocolate factory and behind making rum, liqueurs, and whiskey at the distillery. This tour will start at the ground level; literally, they will take you from what is planted in the ground, the cacao beans or grains, all the way to what the consumer can enjoy from bar or bottle. This tour will also give you a look into the history of cacao farming and production in the Dominican Republic. See the antique machines of chocolate creation alongside new innovations and machinery. Observe the entire, multi-step, process, following the chocolate the entire way. After learning all of this chocolate theory, you could stand to gain a little chocolate experience – to that end, tastings are included!
