Trip Info

Kathmandu Valley has a variety of beautiful trekking routes. Many people travel to Nepal for Kathmandu Valley trekking. Nowadays, out of all the treks around the valley, Kathmandu Valley Culture Trek is the longest of all.

The Kathmandu Valley Cultural Trek goes around the valley, covering all the important places. It offers a rich insight into the lives, history, culture and religion of the region  and allows travelers to discover the very traditional agricultural activities of its inhabitants. Trekking this route in the spring season offers stunning sights of early blooming rhododendrons, magnolias, many wild, colorful flowers. In the autumn and winter, trekkers can enjoy wonderful mountain views of the entire Annapurna range as well as breathtaking views of the ranges of Mt Manaslu/ Rolwaling, and Langtang. On a clear day, the Everest range can be seen to the far-east.

Those who enjoy bird watching will have a special appreciation for this trek. You can look forward to observing a variety of birds in Shivapuri National Park. Many endemic and exotic birds can be seen around its calm nature from early autumn to late spring. About 200 different species of birds have made this region their home, both permanently and seasonally, as recorded by bird scholars. The major attractions of the trek are  Shiapuri, Balthali, Namo Buddha, Dhulikhel, Nagarkot, and Kakani.
