This private sightseeing tour is an eight-day guided excursion and cultural tour. Learn about the amazing history of the volcanic region and visit the landscapes and places created by nature and the small communities.
Meet your fully licensed guide and check into your hotel on the first day. You’ll spend three nights in Cappadocia, getting to know the area and the fascinating history and culture. Visit the valley and Goreme, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Center. The open-air museum nestles 12 churches with preserved mural paintings. Visit the Simeon Valley and see the very best fairy chimneys in Cappadocia.
On your third day, visit the Underground City of Cappadocia where you will visit the Carpet Weaving Centre. Learn the steps from the raw material, right through to the finished product.
Day four will take you to the capital city of Turkey, Ankara. It is a dynamic, attractive city with a green environment and lots of interesting things to do and see. Learn about the history and visit the fascinating Museum of Archaeology. Finally visit the Augustus Temple and the Anitkabir.
Day five will consist of traveling to Istanbul and passing over the Bosphorus Bridge to the bridge between Asia and Europe.
History comes to life on the sixth day of your excursion. See the marks of the past as you visit the Hagias Sophia, the religious center of Orthodoxy. You’ll also visit the Blue Mosque, a beautiful building with a fascinating history and the only mosque in the world with six minerals.
Your seventh, and last day of sightseeing, includes a trip to the Topkapi Palace. For hundreds of years, it was the residence of the Sultans and now accommodates a collection of porcelain, handwritings, portraits, jewellery and weapons. You’ll also take a boat tour to experience the beautiful Bosphorus along Rumeli Castle, summerhouses and palaces between Asia and Europe.
