Trip Info
Cajas National Park is located 35km west of Cuenca, we’ll need approx. 1-hour to arrive there. This tour will visit 3 levels of height, the highest point on the route known as Tres Cruces located at 4,200 masl approximately where, if the weather allows us, we can enjoy the beautiful scenery and the guide will explain about the geological formation of the park.
Then visit the middle 3960 msnm located in the area of Toreadora where we will walk about 3-hours depending on the pace of the group. The skirt along the trek will cross gaps and Polylepis forests where the guide will explain about moorland vegetation.
We will have lunch in a restaurant of the zone. Finally visiting the lower part of the park, near Llaviuco to 3150 msnm which is a different ecosystem known as montage primary forest and have a walk around the lake for about 1.5-hour.
The guide can change the order of the visits but it will last 8-hour approx. This tour includes pickup at your hotel as well as drop-off.
