Trip Info

If you enjoy scrambling over rocks and reaching spectacular summits, this is the trekking tour for you! Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park has numerous summits offering stunning panoramic views of Catalonia, France and the rest of the Pyrenees. We will scale the peaks of Gallina Pelada (2,317 m), Predaforca (2,506m), Penyes Altes de Moixeró (2,279m), and Comabona (2,554m).

Day 1: Comabona (2,554 m) 5 hours
Comabona is easily identified by its elongated range of mountains. While making your way up the relatively easy ascent, look out for the beautiful rock formations. This is a truly brilliant walk!

Day 2: Ensija (2,289 m) 6 hours
After breakfast, we will make our way to the starting point, and then off we go! Look forward to beautiful views to the north and south. We will make our way to four different summits on this day: Serrat Voltor (2,279 m), Creu de Ferro (2,294 m), Gallina Pelada (2,317 m), and Roca Blanca (2,289 m). Afterwards, we will visit the Picasso Museum in Gósol.

Day 3: Penyes Altes de Moixeró (2,279 m) 8 hours
Hike through alpine landscape as you make your way to the summit of Penyes Altes. Take in the panoramic views of the Llorgreat Valley as well as the Combana and Pedraforca summits. If you look to the south, you will realize you are standing at the top of a sheer drop! This is truly the most beautiful peak in the eastern area of the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park. In the evening, you will have the options of going on a wine and cheese tasting (not included in the price).

Day 4: Pedraforca (2,506 m) 6-7 hours
Stand in awe as you stand on the summit of Pedraforca, taking in one of the most beautiful views in the Pyrenees. This is a strenuous ascent, complete with steep inclines and scrambles. In the evening, we will celebrate conquering Pedraforca with some home-made beer!

Day 5: Departure
We will depart for Barcelona after breakfast.
