One of Toronto running tour is the Cabbagetown located on the east side of downtown Toronto. According to the Cabbagetown Preservation Association, this place is the largest area of preserved Victorian housing in North America. This rather unusual name originated from the Irish immigrants who moved to the neighbourhood in the late 1840′s. They were so poor that they started growing cabbage in their front gardens.
Nowadays, Cabbagetown is one of Toronto’s must-go places, enriched with the history and culture of Eastern Canada. It is also very accessible by public transit. Toronto’s effective public transport system, TTC, will take you to the Run Start Point!
Your tour guide, Sue, is a real running enthusiast who’s very knowledgeable about Toronto. She looks forward to seeing you soon!
