Florence Connection’s Brunello Wine Tour will take you to the home of Brunello di Montalcino. Montalcino is a beautiful, medieval, hilltop town. Brunello, was developed by Ferruccio Biondi Santi a little more than a century ago and immediately caught the attention of wine connoisseurs. The untouched beauty of Montalcino and the surrounding countryside are truly impressive. Your tour will lead you to a gorgeous and well-stocked enoteca where you will be able to sample Brunello by the glass. An expert will explain the history of the wine and discuss the evolution of winemaking techniques. You may also be able to sample some fine extra virgin olive oil on ‘bruschetta’.
