Let’s discover the city, conquered by the Romans, with its harbour in the shape of a deer’s head. On this walking tour, we will visit important landmarks, museums and churches.
Beginning the port, we will walk towards the Roman columns, symbol of the city. You will most certainly enjoy visiting the Cathedral Square with the Seminary, the archaeological museum, the Balsamo’s Lodge and the Temple of St. John. With time allotted, you may want to explore the archaeological area of San Pietro Degli Schiavoni and the Granafei-Nervegna Palace.
You can visit many other churches in the old town or take the ferry to visit the National Sailor Monument or the church of Santa Maria Del Casale, close to the airport.
