Trip Info

Brasov is one of Transylvania’s most important cities. Built almost 800 years ago by the Saxons inside the Carpathian Mountains, from the 7 major Saxon cities in Transylvania Brasov was by far the most important and the richest one. Brasnov attracted merchants from all over the world in search of wealth and quick money as well as the eyes of that time’s invaders, especially the Turks. Today it is one of Romania’s most beautiful cities, with the famous Black Church, Katherine’s Gate, the old city walls, beautiful orthodox cathedrals, the Jewish Synagogue, The White and The Black towers, the old city bastions and much more.  It is a must do when you are vising our country.
