Trip Info
Do you enjoy fun water activities? Spend the day canoeing the coastline! You will have an experience to remember when we explore the region in a canoe on our way to Blanchisseuse. Along the way, we will pass many beautiful beaches including Maracas, Tyrico, Las Cuevas and La Fillette. You can request to stop along the way if you wish.
Maracas Bay has one of the most spectacular beaches. It is unique from others as it is protected by the deep bay. You can also enjoy one of the most favorite local waterfalls which is 298 feet high. Be amazed as the water rushes over three levels, all falling from a steep cliff into the Naranjo River.
The village of Blanchisseuse sits where the crystal clear Marianne River flows. The name derives from the French word for washer-woman as early settlers named it upon seeing local women wash clothes in the river. Just East of the village is a quaint secluded beach where the endangered leatherback giant turtles nests during March to August.
You can choose to swim in the pure clean river water or go exploring in a kayak. Close by is a popular spot known as the Three Pools. These separate water holes are formed from the difference in the height levels of the river. Take a dip but be aware of the depth of the water if you decide to jump in from the rocks up top.
We look forward to guiding you!
