Explore the charming town of Cai Be, located on the bank of Tien River, otherwise known as the Upper Mekong River. It has a population of 15,000 people and fruit and vegetable gardens, traditional crafts and many traditional old houses. The Cai Be floating market is one of the most famous places for tourism in Mekong Delta. The French Catholic Church sits in the background of the floating market to make the town more impressive.
You will be picked up by your bike guide at 7:30 a.m. from your hotel for a 1.5 hour drive to Cai Lay where we start the cycling adventure. Enjoy biking along small canals in quiet villages filled with tropical fruits such as jackfruits, rambutans and durians. You will have a chance to taste some of them and talk to locals. After we travel about 20 km, take a boat trip to visit Cai Be floating market. Stop in riverside villages and then take a short walk around to see how locals make coconut candy, popcorn, rice crispy and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we will cycle around Cai Be and along the system of the Upper Mekong River. we will head back to Ho Chi Minh City.
