Trip Info

One of our most popular excursions, this three day tour is a great choice for those on a budget but still wanting an adventure. Crafted to pack in as much as possible, you will experience the unique culture of the Maasai, go on Safari, visit caves, waterfalls and be energized on a coffee tour.

From Moshi, we cycle to the Olpopongi Maasai village in West Kilimanjaro. In this cultural village, you will experience the unique traditions of the Maasai people. Wildlife can also be seen in the area. We will spend the night here.

After breakfast, we ride to the West Kilimanjaro forest. Here, enjoy a game drive to see wildlife and the beautiful landscape of the park. Relax with a dinner and a sleep overnight at Ndarakwai Campsite.

We will bike back to visit Chagga. Under a typical village homestead, you will find a steep ladder that descends into an underground cave which was used by villagers during inter-tribal wars. Enjoy a visit to the local waterfall and experience a coffee tour. Try out the local cuisines and the famous chagga brew “Mbege”. This banana-based beer takes time to create as the entire brewing process is done by hand.

We will end our biking and cultural tour overnight at the Backyard Hostel in Moshi.
