KB Peru offers mountain bike adventures including the 1 Day Bike Ride to Macchu Picchu! Your tour starts from Ollantaytambo, where you can relax and enjoy a cup of coffee while the team loads up your gear, then when everything is set, you will drive to Abra Malaga to begin your first descent. You will start from the foot of Veronica glacier, going downhill to the jungle. Along the way, you will see spectacular views and Inca ruins as you descend down the road. Lunch will be at a restaurant near the Incan ruins, where you can see the beautiful surrounding views. Machu Picchu sits high above the Vilcabamba Valley on a long narrow mountain ridge. After lunch, you will be given a choice; if you want to hop in the support vehicle (for those who don’t want to continue riding), or continue biking until the final downhill plunge into the town of St. Maria. The tour ends here, but for those who wish to continue exploring Macchu Picchu, the staff will help you with everything you need, such as finding a hotel to spend the night or assist you with reserving a decent hostel in Aguas Calientes.
