Trip Info
Enjoy a day of fishing the Bighorn River! This region is a hidden gem of a fishery. It is home to healthy populations of brown, rainbow and cutthroat trout estimated at 2500 fish per mile! They average 16-18 inches with many exceeding 22 inches. You will have the opportunity to see this first-hand.
We prefer to fish dry flies most of the year, but other tactics and techniques are used based on the skill of the angler. You can choose full day and half-day float trips.
It is at Wedding of the Waters where we begin our adventure. You will float through the town of Thermopolis, home to the world’s largest mineral hot springs. The Bighorn is open to fishing year round and offers peaceful solitude in the winter. Although the best fishing occurs from April thru October, there are plenty of days in the middle of summer where we are the only boat on the river.
We practice catch & release of all wild trout.
End your adventure with a soak in the world’s largest mineral hot springs!
Your adventure awaits!
