Trip Info

Durban is fortunate to have a world-class Big 5 game reserve just a few hours drive away.

The Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve is the oldest proclaimed game reserve in Africa with a variety of African animals and of course a plethora of bird life to view.

I’ll collect you from your accommodation anywhere in the Durban or surrounding areas and on our 2,5 hour drive to the park, I’ll big you an introduction into the history of Durban, South Africa and of course of the Zulu people.

During the day we’ll be driving through the Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve in an air conditioned and spacious vehicle, with the advantage of added height.

As we explore the Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve, I’ll give you lots of information into animals behavior and of course identify all that we see; all done in a professional and safe manner.

Lunch is enjoyed in the park at one of the two available eateries before exploring more of the park.

Finally we’ll head back to Durban in the late afternoon with a new appreciation for what makes Durban, KwaZulu-Natal and of course the Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve so fantastic.
