Spend the day exploring the ancient Greek city – Ephesus – built in the 10th century BC. Learn about the unique culture, heritage and tradition of the people and the region.
Your guide will be waiting to meet you at the cruise ship port. After you’ve been welcomed, your guide will take you to the House of the Virgin Mary on the top of the beautiful Solmissus Mountain. It is believed Mary spent her last living days here.
After the House of the Virgin Mary, you’ll be driven to the Ancient City of Ephesus. You’ll enjoy a downhill walk with your guide into the ruins of the Roman capital. Your route takes you past the Bouleuterion, Temple of Domitian, Hercules Gate, Temple of Hadrian, The Celsus Library and The Great Theater.
Your last site is the Basilica of St. John located in St. John’s town. You’ll see the remaining graceful columns along with a wonderful view of the old town of Selcuk.
