The tour begins in Dhaka with an exploration of Sadarghat waterfront, Ahsan Manzil, Hindu Street Shakari Bazaar, Armenian Church and the most spectacular Star Mosque. We will also see the Parliament building, which is one of the best architectural examples of the world. Stay overnight in Dhaka.
An early morning drive to Tangile will see us visit the beautiful terracotta Atia Mosque. After lunch, we visit the villages near the Brahmaputra River with an overnight stay in Tangile.
In the morning, take the boat to visit the most isolated islands in the middles of the river. We will stay in the house of a local family to participate in their works, learn a local cuisine lesson and stay overnight.
After spending more time with the family, we drive to Rangpur for an overnight stay. We will visit the Kantaji Temple, the largest Hindu temple in the country.
Enjoy a morning drive to Kantagir temple to visit the most beautiful Hindu temple and stop at the UNESCO World Heritage Site Paharpur Buddhist Monastery. Enjoy the rest of the day as free time inside the monastery to enjoy the sunset. We will have an overnight stay in the archaeology rest house Paharpur.
During the early morning drive to Gaur, we will visit the Muslim establishment of 14th A.D., visit Darasbari Madrasa, Choto Sona Mosque and the Khoniya Dighy Mosque. We will have overnight in Gaur, also known as Rajshahi.
In the morning, we drive to the cultural center of Bangladesh at Kushtia, the place where the most famous musician writer Lalon Shah was born and raised. Here, we will enjoy a musical festival and visit the Tagore Lodge. Enjoy an overnight stay.
The next day will feature a boat trip on the river Ganges. We will visit the 100-year-old train bridge, Harding Bridge and the otter-fishing village at Gabura on the way to Mongla. Have an overnight stay in the Port area.
We will tour the Sundarbans Mangrove Forest, home of the largest tiger population in the world. The 10,000 square kilometer mangrove vegetation will be our home for the next two days.
We will have a short drive to Bagerhat to visit various mosques before continuing to Barisal for an afternoon city tour. We will have overnight in Barisal.
In the morning, drive to the Sorupkhati area to visit traditional pottery works, the famous floating rice market and take the steamer to Chadpur. Have overnight stay in Comilla.
In the morning, we will visit the ruins of the Buddhist site of Mainimati. We then drive to Rangamiti, the hill capital of the Chittagong Hill Tract, for an overnight stay.
We will cruise down to the remote villages and markets of Chakma and other ethnical groups, visit a Buddhist monastery and a Tribal Museum. We will have an overnight stay in Kaptai Lake.
The next day, we will drive to Bandarbans on one of the best scenic routes. We visit Bandarban, local markets and enjoy a walk and cruise by country boat on the Bank of Sangu River. Have an overnight stays at Bandarban.
In the morning, we drive to Cox’s Bazaar. Visit and enjoy the beauty of the world’s longest unbroken beach including a surfing trip, Saint Martin Coral Island trip and a visit to tribal villages. Have two overnight stays in Cox’s Bazaar.
A drive to Chittagong in the morning will have us visit the fish harbor and the ship-breaking yard in the afternoon. Enjoy shopping in Chittagong and if time permits, visit the Second World War cemetery with overnight in Chittagong.
The next day, we have a train journey to Sreemangal to explore the lush green hill around Bangladesh’s verdant tea country. On our second day, we have a chance to explore the area in a little more depth.
In the morning, we drive back to Dhaka by car. On the way, we visit the old capital of Bengal. Have overnight in Dhaka.
