Discover the ancient traditions of the local culture on this trekking tour as you spend time with local families. This trek is one of the best tourist destinations near in Kathmandu Valley. Located about 40 km away from Kathmandu, it offers an amazing sunrise view of the Himalayan Range from Manaslu to Mount Everest in the north and the best sunset view over rice field terraces in the west with green forests of the Mahabharata Range in the south part. Nature lovers and bird watchers can spend days exploring and discovering some exceptional species of wildlife, different species of birds, tradition and culture untouched by modernity. Many of the sacred and ancient temples and monasteries such as Namobuddha, Indreshwar Mahadev and Bramayani-like religious temples are located in this region and still needs to be discovered and unveil its mysterious past.
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be met and transported to your hotel. In the morning, we will have an in-depth sightseeing tour of the city. We will then travel to Dhulikhel to see first-hand the Newari culture and daily lives of local people. Spend overnight in Dhulikhel.
After breakfast, we start our trek to Namo Buddha and then to Balthali. We will spend the night at a Balthali local homestay. The next day will offer a full day exploring a Balthali village, a typical Buddhist village Danda Gaon.
In the morning, we walk to the Newari village of Panauti. This settlement has rural character and a variety of farm products are offered for sale throughout the town. Explore the temples to gain a better understanding of the local religion. We drive back to Kathmandu later in the day.
After your breakfast, you will be chauffeured to the airport.
