Trip Info

Distance: Auschwitz is 68 km from the center of Krakow.

We think the best time for a pick up is 830 am. Before 10 o clock we are in Oswiecim city. Here you can decide if you want to take a tour with or without the guide. The standard guided history tour takes 3h. In most of the cases if you walk on your own it takes around 1 h 15 min in Birkenau and 2 hours in Auschwitz. Auschwitz – work camp is a museum camp now, It has been adjusted to house exhibitions, proofs etc. Birkenau – the death camp is in a shape Nazis left it. In Auschwitz there is five blocks that you can’t miss. These are : 4,5,6,7,11 another thing is that you need to see the gas chamber and the gallows where Rudolf Hoss was hanged for his war crimes. There is also his house next to the Auschwitz camp – the house which was in a movie Boy’s in striped pygamas. If you are interested in the liberation of the camp – there is a movie played every 30 min about the liberation of Auschwitz.
