These daily excursions are a great option for those who want to escape the urban noise of Marrakech and chill out a bit amidst the greenery in the heart of the Atlas mountains. A labyrinth of paths, which have been walked for centuries, terraced houses – each of them offering a stunning view to the mountain peaks, passing by the solid walls of the Kasbah. Apple and walnut orchards along the way to the village of Aremd in the altitude of 2000 m. Watching the grinning children passing by from school, visiting the local manufacture selling the products of Arghan oil and finally enjoying a bowl of tajine, couscous or some other local delicacy in a family run guesthouse.

Rachid is an experienced mountain guide through the mountains of Morocco, safely guiding many tours and showing the majesty of the mountains. He organizes trekking trips within Morocco’s High Atlas Mountains emphasizing a community-friendly approach. His trekking options include Mount Toubkal ascent, walking the High Atlas valleys, and treks through Berber villages revealing the breathtaking quiet beauty of adjacent valleys. Our activities rely on the knowledge, strong limbs and hospitality of the Berber people, who work as local guides, muleteers and accommodation providers. We believe they are the people who can tell the most about their culture, traditions and way of life to make the whole trekking experience unique and authentic. As an organizer of community-friendly trekking, Rachid creates job opportunities for the locals and raises money for community projects.
