Day 1: Marrakech
You will receive a warm welcome at the airport as soon as you touch down! We will transfer you to the hotel before exploring Marrakech, a city Sir Winston Churchill dubbed “the last paradise on earth.” Immerse yourself in Morocco’s history by way of visiting the ancient ramparts, Menara Pavillian, Bahai Palace, Royal Garden, Saadian Tombs and more! Explore the bazaars and indulge in the Moroccan everyday life. Stop to see snake charmers, acrobats, story tellers and just about anything else! It quickly becomes clear why Marrakech is so majestic! In the evening, you wil have the option to enjoy dinner at Chez Ali.
Day 2: Marrakech – Essaouira
We will spend the morning continuing to tour Marrakech. After lunch, we will make our way to Essaouira. While there, we will visit Ex-Mogador, its fishing port, the ramparts and the open medina which is full of craftsmen who specialize in Thuja wood craft.
Day 3: Essaouira – Safi – Oualidia – El Jadida – Casablanca
After departing Essaouira, will follow the picturesque Atlantic Coast to Safi, a city which was once Portuguese. In addition to being a fishing village, it is known for its ceramics. From Safi, you will be able to see a fortress on the sea which was built by the Portuguese in the 16th century. There is the remains of a cathedral and Kechla, which has a white palace of the 18th century, the seat of Makhzen, enclosed within its walls.
We will continue on to El Jadida, first stopping for lunch at Oualidia. El Jadida is famous for its amazing beach. The Portuguese roots of this city can easily be seen throughout. After exploring El Jadida, we will make our way to Casablanca, where we will spend the night.
Day 4: Visit Casablanca
We will spend the day visiting the must-see places in Casablanca. We will make our way to the United Nations district of administration, the boulevard Mohamed V, the residential district of Anfa and the large mosque of Hasan II.
Day 5: Casablanca – Meknès – Volubilis – Moulay Idriss – Meknès
We will depart for Meknès first thing in the morning. Upon arrival, we will make our way to Bab El Mansour and Bab El Khamis. After lunch at a traditional restaurant, we will visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis. The day continues on as we make our way to Moulay Idriss, the Holy City, which is astonishing due to it being built on two rock pitons. We will make our way back to Meknès, where we will spend the night.
Day 6: Meknès – Fes
We will make our way to Fes, where we will spend the day. Fes is one of the most important cities in all of Morocco due to its rich religious, intellectual and artistic history. For the first part of the day, we will explore the old city. We will take you to El Bali, the Medersa Attarine, the Karaouine mosque, various souks, and the Nejjarine Fountain.
After lunch in a Moroccon restaurant, we will make our way to the new city, or Fes El Jedid, to see the monumental door.
Day 7: Fes – Beni Mellel – Marrakech
In the morning, we will depart Fes for Marrakech, passing by Ifrane on the way. We will stop for lunch in Beni Mellal and visit the source of Aïn Asserdoun. We will arrive at Marrakech in the late afternoon.
Day 8: Marrakech-Cascade d’Ouzoud
We will go on an excursion through the pine forests of the Middle Atlas Mountains to Beni Mellal. From there, we will take a mountain road, offering spectacular views, to Cascade D’Ouzoud, a 3 tiered waterfall which drops 110 meters. After taking in the beautiful waterfall,we will return to Marrakech.
Day 9: Marrakech
Transfer to Marrakech airport.
