This 12-day trekking adventure gives you the opportunity to explore the eternal beauty of the Himalayas and the local people. The Annapurna Base Camp trek is a popular, easy and classic trekking destination in Nepal. You will experience remote villages, unbelievable green forests and snow-capped mountains in this region.
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, your guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel for the night. An early morning drive to Pokhara will begin the exciting adventure. The trekking route starts from the foothills of Dhampus Ridge, which is very near to Pokhara.
We will pass Gurung villages of Chomrong and Landrung to continue along the trail through the Rhododendron forests of the Hinko Cave. You will have views of Annapurna Base Camp and Machhapuchare Base Camp as we hike up through Modi Khola.
Once we leave Ghorepani, we make our ascent towards Poon Hill for the most breathtaking view of sunrise over the Himalayas. As we continue up through a series of bamboo forest towards Machhapuchare base camp, we also trek through an alpine meadow as we head to the Annapurna base camp.
Upon arrival, you will have a 360-degree panoramic view of spectacular mountain peaks of the region, along with the Annapurna ranges. After a brief stay at the base camp, we begin the descent Chomrong Khola where we follow a stone staircase to Modi Khola. We will rest at a local natural hot springs.
We reach Pokhara after spending the last days trekking through several Gurung villages and experiencing their culture. In the morning, we will drive to Kathmandu for leisure and sightseeing before overnight at the lodge. You will be transported to the airport for your flight the next day.
