Trip Info

One of the great adventures in the Himalaya and the ultimate high altitude challenge for any mountain biker. Pokhara with many stops along the way. Traverse high into the snow covered mountains on a journey of discovery, culture, scenery and simply unbeatable mountain biking. Top it of with a 4500 meter descent down the Kaligandaki Valley.

This is a 14-day tour that will take you  from Kathmandu to Pokhara with many adventures along the way. Starting with you being picked up at the airport to you being dropped off you will experience the immense hospitality of this great country.

We spend day two warming up and testing the bikes on the back roads and trails of Kathmandu, seeing temples and having lunch in Thamel along the way. Day three is a travel day to Sishar, with time for sightseeing once we get there. We start the adventure and climb on day four climbing a little over 1000 meters from Beisishar to Tal along the Marsyandi River enjoying the scenery along the way. Day 5 is a challenging day , on rough terrain  through jungle but well worth the effort. Things get a bit easier on day 6 as you leave the jungle for wider trials and great views, let yourself acclimatize today. Take day 7 to rest and prepare, enjoy short hikes to explore but conserve your energy for the days ahead. Day 8 will take you on a short, gentle climb, while day 9 will challenge you with a 1300 meter climb all worth it when you see the view and the superb technical downhill on the other side. From here on out we are going downhill with stops to enjoy scenery, local shopping, and the occasional cold drink. Day 12 will have you on flat ground once again heading back to your hotel. Day 13 flies you back to Kathmandu, and day 14 sees you on your way home.
