Annakotta is a unique place and this destination offers vast experience spending your day with variety of elephants different in size and nature. Your visit to Elephant sanctuary offer you close familiarity with friendly and calm elephant tied with loosen chains which brings smile on your face and distant familiarity with aggressive elephant who are restricted by extra and tighten chains. Wonderful and must say once in lifetime experience from entrance to end in coconut grove 10 acres area noticing around 60 to 80 elephants activities. It is near to Guruvayoor temple and about 75km far from Cochin/2hour drive. Guruvayoor temple entry is restricted to Hindu’s only. Morning visiting (8am) can enjoy bathing and washing of elephant and afternoon visitor (3pm) can enjoy feeding of elephants. These elephants get trained here and they have names and identity and are being used in temples and festivals.
