Trip Info

Spend a weekend exploring the great cities of Amsterdam, Netherlands and Bruges, Belgium on this private tour. Amsterdam is known as Venice of the North, because of its lovely canals that crisscross the city, its impressive architecture and more than 1,500 bridges. There is something for every traveller’s taste here, whether you prefer culture and history, serious partying, or just the relaxing charm of an old European city. Bruges is a fascinating medieval city with many charms. Indulge in its artisan chocolate and try one of their many famous beers while wandering streets that have been unchanged for centuries.

After being introduced to your tour guide, we depart during the evening and take the Eurotunnel or ferry to Calais, France. We travel by executive coach to Amsterdam. We arrive early in the morning in the centre of Amsterdam. Your guide will take you on a walking tour, showing you the main shopping areas and main attractions. We stop by the floating flower market and then we continue on to the museums, galleries, the “IAmsterdam” sign and more! You have free time for shopping during the afternoon and in the evening, we invite you to go on our optional canal cruise for one hour. Afterwards, we depart to the hotel to check in and freshen up to get ready for the evening.

In the evening your guide will show you the famous Red Light District and suggest places and restaurants to go during the evening. You can visit a coffee shop, eat at the many steakhouses or go clubbing. The coach will depart at approximately midnight and take you back to the hotel.

After breakfast, we start our tour of Zaanse Schans, a traditional Dutch village outside of Amsterdam. Here you will witness how the famous clogs and Dutch cheese are made. You can also try a known drink in the Netherlands called Ambrosia, a sherry made with honey. Later on, we head towards Bruges where we have a walking tour which includes all the main attractions followed by free time to try their delicious chocolates and variety of beers. We also recommend their tasty Frites chips! We depart during the late afternoon, arriving back in the U.K. by late evening
