This Amazon Jungle tour is ideal for those who have little time but want to get a feel of the Amazon. Juma Lake is located 100 kilometers south of Manaus providing a breathtaking jungle experience without going deep into the Amazon rainforest.
Activities include piranha fishing, dolphin watching, sunset and sunrise experiences, night Cayman spotting, canoe trips and jungle trekking. The lodge offer rooms with air conditioning, private bathrooms, hammocks to relax during the day, a bar with soft drinks, beer and the traditional Brazilian caipirinhas. Meals that are served are fish, beef, chicken and the typical Brazilian rice and beans.
Trip Itinerary
Day one:
At 8am you are transferred from the hotel to the Ceasa port where a speed boat is used to take visitors to the meeting of the waters, the point where the Rio Negro and the Solimões River meet. Then you continue to the Careiro Village on the other side of the Solimões River. From there continue by car or van for about an hour to the Mamori River. Continue on by speed-boat arriving at the lodge at about 11:30am.
Activities begin at 3pm. You’ll leave on a motorized canoe and go piranha fishing, dolphin and bird watching. Before going back to the lodge, take in the beauty of the sunset. After dinner set out on a Cayman spotting adventure. A sample is caught for your close observation while sharing information before its release.
Day two:
At 5:30am take a canoe trip to watch the sunrise while listening to the forest waking up to a new day. Return to the lodge for breakfast and shortly afterwards, take a jungle hike for the rest of the morning. During the walk, your guide explains valuable information about the forest. Much is learned about medicinal plants, insects such as spiders, and a chance at seeing curious animals such as monkeys.
After lunch, return to Manaus at about 1:30pm arriving there at about 4:30pm.

Joshua, an experienced guide, was born and raised in the Amazon jungle. He not only speaks English fluently but can also understand several other languages. For more than 10 years, he has been working as a freelance jungle guide with several companies in the Amazon region.
