My husband and I took this tour after reading the wonderful reviews it had on the internet. We were not disappointed! Ginger was our tour guide and she was delightful. I could have listened to her talk all day, with her heavy Cajun accent! Every place we went served us delicious food- and things I may never had ordered myself. It was a lovely experience and I would highly recommend it to all!

Over the years, we have taken more tours than we can count…including numerous foodie tours…this tour ranks in the Top-5! Marie’s knowledge of the area and it’s Cajun roots is truly top-notch, not to mention she’s a genuine story-teller…VERY entertaining! I highly recommend Cajun Food Tours, it’s a GREAT day-trip from NoLa, to boot!

We had so much fun on our tour!!! We visited 6 different places and the food was EXCELLENT! We really enjoyed learning about points of interest in the city and the background of the restaurants we visited. Everyone showed that Southern hospitality they are known for in South Louisiana. This is a MUST DO for anyone who will be in the Lafayette area.

Marie does a great job of explaining about the Cajun people, their culture and food. Her van is decorated like a living room to make you feel at home. We visited 6 places and at each the food was excellent and plentiful. She offers bottled water and you have the option to buy alcoholic beverages at some of the establishments(this was the morning tour). This was my first food tour and we had so much fun. I’m now hooked! My husband had a business meeting and had to leave after the 4th stop and Marie was very accommodating and dropped him off at our hotel.

We chose to take the Cajun Food Tour as our bridal luncheon for my daughter’s wedding. All thirteen of us had such an enjoyable time with Marie, our tour leader and driver, and our party. The trip around Lafayette was fun, informative, delicious, and memorable. The attractive, comfortable bus took us to a bakery, a new cafe, a cultural center, and three established restaurants on our midday experience where we enjoyed a sample of local Cajun delicacies. All were locally owned businesses, some with gift shops. We were greeted by the owners or managers. Marie, in her pleasant, upbeat way, entertained us with interesting narration about area history and a few additional landmarks, along with cute “Boudreaux and Thibodeaux” jokes. For a unique, tasty way to appreciate Lafayette, whether you are area natives (as we were) or visitors, try the Cajun Food Tour!

My sister went on tour at the end of January. She raved about it so I decided to book a tour for March14,2016. I really enjoyed every minute. The food was delicious. Even though I have lived in Lafayette all my life, we went to places I had never been. The fellow passengers and the tour guide,Marie were wonderful. I will definitely be doing this again. Good job Marie!

My husband and I went on the Cajun Food Tour for my birthday in January. My grown children live in Lafayette, so I’ve already been to 4 of the 6 locations we visited on the tour, but that didn’t make my time any less enjoyable. We tried lots of different foods including boudin, cracklin’, seafood/crawfish pizza, alligator legs (so yummy…none of the group of 12 of us had any idea what we were eating), stuffed grilled cheese, shrimp po’boy, and bread pudding. You can bring a frozen daiquiri or a beer on board the bus, but there are opportunities for great drinks at several of the establishments you’ll visit. The locations change around a lot, and you won’t know where you are going until you arrive. That’s all part of the fun! Marie is a former teacher and has a passion for Lafayette and its food and culture, so you’ll learn a lot while having a great time. I highly recommend this tour for out-of-towners who really want to experience Cajun culture and for locals, too, so that they can find out where the REALLY good food spots are. Allons manger!!

I accompanied out-of-state guests on this wonderful food tour. The foods provided were authentic Cajun foods so unique to this part of Louisiana. It provided them with samples of many more foods then we could have provided them with during their short visit. We were worried that we would only get bites of food and would be hungry at the end of the tour. But to our surprise we were uncomfortably full as we exited the bus for the final time!!! I have lived here for 20 years, and even I learned something new about the Cajun culture.

Marie is an excellent tour guide! In fact, I’ve lived in Lafayette my entire life and was still able to see new sites, learn new things, and taste new and delicious foods. I found it pretty incredible that she was able to teach me about a couple of the places I’d been to many of times before. The best part of course was the food! It was extremely delicious and I had an excellent time all around! I definitely recommend this to all my friends & family!

Can’t say enough good things about Marie, the food and the fun we all had. We learned so much about the customs and rich history of the Cajun people. Even though we are all from Louisiana and some are even from the area, we learned some interesting facts that we hadn’t been aware of. We walked away with a greater appreciation of the people of this area and with a new list of the many new places to eat!

My wife and I from Broussard, La. and her parents from Stavanger, Norway have taken the Cajun Food Tour! We all give this activity an A+! The tours are informative, delicious and FUN! In spite of the fact that I live in Acadiana, I learned some history and ate at spots I had not yet enjoyed. Thumbs up all the way!

My husband, two friends and I took the food tour recently. Ginger was the guide and Marie was there for additional support and info. The 4 of us enjoyed the tour and making new friends with the other participants. When you take the tour wear comfy clothing due to the need for an expanding waist. I would take the tour again!

Loved, Loved! This was an adventure for 14 of my classmates and Marie was very patient with us even though we had whistles. The food was out of this world loved everyplace that we went. I have told many people about this and we are planning another tour October 24, 2015.

I have taken two tours with Cajun Food Tours now, one at 10:30 am with a dozen women, the other at 2:30 pm with my husband. I give this activity an A+! The tours are informative, delicious and FUN! In spite of the fact that I live in Lafayette, I learned some history and ate at spots I had not yet enjoyed. Thumbs up all the way!
