Trip Info

The Kenai Peninsula in the great state of Alaska is home to breathtaking annual runs of wild steelhead and we are the only outfitter that offers this calibre of experience for you. We fish from drift boats on the turquoise Kasilof River from its glacier feed lake to the mouth of the Kachemak Bay.

We average fish from 28 to 33 inches and had days last year where 20 plus fish were hooked from a single boat. The rest of our fishing days are spent either wade fishing the Anchor River, which we travel via inflatable kayaks, or hiking and wade fishing Deep Creek where our customers average between two to four steelheads daily.

Enjoy the finest lodging consisting of beautifully constructed cabins, each with two queen beds, furnished kitchen, washer and dryer and your own personal bathroom. Our private chef prepares all your meals and we spare no expense with menu items including crab legs, sushi, and freshly caught salmon to name a few.

The locals and the scenery in Alaska are all part of this experience and a big part of what keeps us going back year after year. We see all kinds of wildlife including eagles, moose, bears and more and catch plenty of huge steelheads of course. The weather is very mild through early October, with average highs in the 40’s and 50’s thus making your stay quite comfortable.

Let Minturn Anglers help you plan your next memorable experience.
