Trip Info

This farm tour will provide a unique taste of adventure as Nepal has plenty of natural resources, which makes agro-tourism more popular and fascinating for all visiting tourists. You will meet and work with farmers in their fields. You can observe the activities of farmers in paddy field, vegetable field or get involved to find the techniques followed by the Nepalese farmers from many years ago.

You will have a lifetime experience of how folks survive in this part of the universe with rice, wheat and maize being the major crops of Nepal. See how rice-based cropping systems, with wheat or maize as a secondary crop, are predominant in the terai and middle hills, whereas in the high mountains, maize, millet, barley and buckwheat are cultivated as major corps. Tea, cardamom, ginger and coffee are the important cash crops of the middle hills. Cattle like buffaloes, sheep, goats, pigs and poultry are the livestock species supporting agricultural industry.

The objective of this tour is the revitalization of the countryside and reversal of urban trends. It brings tourists to the countryside instead of over populating cities. You can meet friendly and hard working people in rural areas, share a meal with them, stay at their houses as family guests, taste their local drinks and see them carry on with life graciously. The heartwarming hospitality of the people is very touching. You will also witness some of the most spectacular views of the mountain landscapes or heritage sites found along the way.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, your guide will meet you and transport you to your hotel. The next day, enjoy sightseeing in Kathmandu city as you visit temples, World Heritages Sites and cultural heritage sites of Nepal.

After breakfast in the morning, we will drive to Bhaktapur to observe the farmers activities in the fields. You can work with the farmers to plant or harvest the seasonable vegetables. In the afternoon, we drive to Dhulikhel for an overnight stay at a hotel.

In the morning, enjoy a sunrise view and the landscape of mid hill regions. After breakfast, we will drive to Panchkhal to work and enjoy time with farmers and plough with oxen. In the evening, we drive back to Kathmandu.

Early in the morning, you will have a one hour mountain flight before having a free day for recreation in Kathmandu. In the morning, you will be transported to the airport.

Your adventure awaits!
