Trip Info

Bargains at a local market combined with a visit of Garbatella and homemade aperitif will be the highlight of this shopping tour. Markets in Rome boast very ancient origins. Today, residents still crowd them snooping around and buying clothes, tools and food.

You will be guided to a local market that takes place twice a week. It is always crowded, colorful and noisy. It is here we will have fun while looking for made in Italy fashion items at a truly bargain price. Expect bargain prices on clothes, shoes, costume jewellery and food from sweet peppers to Roman courgettes. It is a cross-section of authentic life.

Towards the end of the tour, we will stroll through the narrow streets of Garbatella. It is a small village of cosy houses with colorful gardens, silence courtyards and quiet streets.

Last, but not least, we will enjoy an excellent aperitif prepared by a local woman, Roberta. It is a unique opportunity to go inside an historical house of this district. Relax in the small patio of Roberta’s house and enjoy a handmade aperitif with snacks and a good glass of wine.
