An enjoyable afternoon spent at two of the most famous places in New Delhi will be an ever memorable one, especially for travellers who have just arrived in Delhi and want to get to know the city and its local culture. The walk starts from Lodi Gardens and ends at Safdarjung tomb and is pretty enjoyable as the walk is highly recommended to travellers who want have quality time with local friends.
Lodi Gardens is a vast stretch of greenery constructed by the British Government as “Lady Wellington Park” and comprises some of the prominent landmarks in the history of Delhi. The mosques and tombs present at the garden are only the few remnants of the Lodi dynasty which ruled Delhi in the 13th century. Chosen as one of the coolest places to hang out by couples due to the vast stretch of greenery and lovely atmosphere, Lodi Gardens is quite inviting. Safdarjung tomb was constructed by the son of Safdarjung who was a nobleman who tried to grow beyond his limits. The interesting features of the tomb include the patterns, style of construction and the way it has been maintained.
