This is where the great wildebeest migration is a spectacle to behold for any would be visitor to Kenya (mainly in July to October of each year).

Over 365 species of birds have been identified in the sanctuaries.

Day 3: Samburu – Lake Nakuru National Park

In the afternoon you will embark on a game drive where you will have the opportunity to spot leopards, rhino and the famous pink flamingos as well as a variety of other wildlife. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge or Flamingo hill Tented lodge.

Lake Nakuru’s claim to fame is anchored on its flamingo’s and the over 400 species of birds found here. The lake itself is a soda lake on the floor of the rift valley. The sight of the at times millions of flamingos is quite spectacular. From a distance the lake appears ringed in pink. The Lake has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Lions, waterbuck, buffalo and baboons are all residents here.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru- Maasai Mara

This was an unforgettable adventure with knowledgeable and very friendly guides (Sammy & Haruni). Countless sightings of wildlife, as well as the Big Five, many up close and amidst gorgeous scenery. The lodging was beautiful, and the food was excellent, with a decent variety of choices for every meal, including vegetarian. Maurice was an extremely friendly and helpful contact, helping arrange my last minute needs. This is a trip I would love to do again, and I would not hesitate to pick Spot Kenya as my guide. Thank you for an amazing trip.
