This tour takes the group/traveler through several regions in Africa: Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Zanzibar Island.
Breakfast is served early; before departure at 07:30 AM. The journey starts from Arusha to Serengeti. On the way, there will be an en-route game drive where you will see regional species. In the evening, there will be served meals and rest overnight at the central Serengeti Katikati tented camp.
Day 2: Game drive in Serengeti National Park for full day
This day after breakfast, departure begins at 07:00 AM. Packed lunch included, you’ll be taken on a full day game drive in the wilderness tracking the Great migration trails and you will be able to see the famed ‘Big 5′. This is one of Tanzania’s national highlights; a thorough and expert explanation will be provided for your personal insight. Later into the evening we will drive to Ngorongoro for dinner and rest overnight at Rhino wildlife lodge near the Ngorongoro crater.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater Tour
Similar to the previous day, breakfast is served before departure for the tour at 07:00 AM for the game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. Your Driver/Guide will be in contact with other safari drivers and will amaze you with his skill at locating the hidden animals. After exploration of the Ngorongoro Crater, we will drive to Arusha for dinner and rest overnight at the Arusha Tourist Inn Hotel.
Day 4: Arusha to Zanzibar
Arusha to Zanzibar will begin after breakfast at the Arusha Tourist Inn hotel. We will drive to Arusha airport strip for your air transfer to Zanzibar, and arrive in Zanzibar airport. Then we transfer to Stone Town Hotel for check in at 2:30 PM – at 15:00 having a small town tour or rest to prepare for the next day’s tours.
Day 5: Zanzibar excursion
The Zanzibar part of the tour includes a visit to a former slave market site, which now stands as an Anglican church built in 1871, and the town market. Visit the Zanzibar Memorial Museum, House of Wonder built in 1883 (Beit-Al-Ajab), old Arab Fort, Palace Museum, Old Indian dispensary (cultural Centre) to Maruhubi Palace ruins via Living Stone House. Dinner and rest overnight at your Marine hotel.
Day 6: Continued Zanzibar excursion
At 8:30 we depart to experience the coast dolphin tour – a trip of dolphin watching! This is a day trip to Kizimkazi, a wonderful experience that is very popular. You may swim with hundreds of spinner & bottle – nose dolphins playing off Kizimkazi beach, this tour also gives you a chance to experience special natural message in the Indian ocean. At 2:30 PM we begin driving to Jozani forest for a tour to see the famous red Colombus Monkeys, the surrounding natural forest, and mangrove forest. There are many species of fish living in these hidden waters. Visit Zala Park to learn on how local people have become creative in protecting the natural living reptiles in the region; then we return back to town for dinner and rest overnight.
Day 7: Continues Zanzibar excursion & Departure to Dar es Salaam for your return home
After breakfast, we depart at 8:30 AM to the spice and botanical part of this tour. You will see and taste the tropical fruits, spices plantation and land plots on the island. A variety of spices plants used as ornament, medicines, flowers, fruits and another interesting flora can be seen during the spice tour and visit to Kidichi bath built in 1850 by the first Sultan for his wife Sheharzad (granddaughter of Fateh Ali Shah of Persia), and then transfer to the harbour / airport for departure.
