6 Day Trek Through the Berber Villages and Toubkal Summit 4167 metres.
Day 1: Arrival and reception at airport then spending the first night in your hotel in Marrakech.
Day 2: Transfer to Agersioual 1700m where you meet the cook and muleteers. You head up for 1 ½ hours to Matat village and have your lunch. After a little rest carry on to get to the high point for today which is Tizi Odite 2400m then a good mule trail to cross through Ait Issa village to arrive at Tiziane village 1700m where you will spend the second night in a gite (guesthouse). 5 hours walking.
Day 3: After breakfast you set off on your trek following the dry stream for 2 hours to arrive at the mountain pass 2200 m. At this point you have good view back through colourful mountains with small bushes and juniper trees all over the hills. We go on our way down to the river under walnut trees to have a picnic lunch. In the afternoon you start an easy walk via very attractive landscapes to the Tkint Valley 1700m where you spend your night. 6 hours walking.
Day 4: Walking from Tkent Valley to the head of the Azzaden valley. After having your breakfast you will take the east direction passing by a group of nomadic houses then you start trekking up to get to Tizi n Tgdalte at 2500m. The way becomes easy then winding down to the river where you will have lunch. After that you cross to Tizi Oussem village then you have 1 1/2 hours to get to the refuge of Tamsoult where you stay tonight. 6 hours walking.
Day 5: You set out at 8:00 am following the stream up to reach the fabulous waterfalls that are found in a rocky canyon before moving further up via many zigzags to reach the mountain pass of Agelzime 3560 m. Here you will have your picnic lunch and then follow the path down through further zigzags to arrive at the Toubkal refuge 3207m where you spend the third night.
Day 6: An early departure around 5:00 am to guard against the weather changing in the afternoon. You climb the highest mountain in North Africa, Ttoubkal at 4167m. It takes 3 hours up and 2 hours back to the refuge where you will have your lunch. After that you continue down the mule path to Imlil Valley. We then transfer to Marrakech. It’s long day (8 hours) but you have the option of staying in the refuge another night if you want more recovery time.
