Trip Info

Designed for those who want to experience the dynamic natural environment that Clayoquot Sound has to offer while glamping in comfort with a Helinox beach chair, Helinox cot and Exped downlite sleeping pad!

Clayoquot Sound is the Last Great Rainforest on Vancouver Island. The region is unceded traditional territory and home of three Nuu-chah-nulth First Nations: the Hesquiaht, Ahousaht, and Tla-o-qui-aht. Clayoquot Sound is world-renowned for its ancient rainforests, monumental cedars, wild salmon, timber wolves, black bears, and whales.

We will start our journey by paddling out of Tofino Harbour with kayaks and gear to pristine Vargas Island where we will set up camp. From there we will undertake various day outings depending on weather, sea conditions and groups ability.

Participants will have both paddling and hiking opportunities that are full of adventure: observe sea otters leisurely floating amid kelp beds, coastal wolves and black bears wandering shorelines, whales lolling offshore, or trekking though old growth forest on ancient trading trails. This trip promises to be an experience that creates memories that will last a life time!
