This 3 day/2 night sightseeing adventure takes you on a tour of Southern Morocco. Take a tour through the High Atlas Mountains, through small villages, and explore the some of Morocco’s finest places. Hop aboard a camel, and travel to the top of the dunes for a breathtaking sunset. Enjoy the local Moroccan cuisine, and visit amazing markets which give you an up close look at the daily life of several villages and cities. This tour has everything you could ask for while visiting Morocco – sightseeing, deserts, dunes, camels, food, amazing cities, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, and more!
Day 1: We will depart from Marrakech early in the morning, and cross the Tichka pass in the High Atlas Mountains. After visiting the Argan Oil Cooperative, we will drive to Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the most famous ksar in Morocco. Upon arriving at the ksar, we will have lunch.
We will continue on, and pass through the Skoura Oasis, where we will find numerous ancient Kasbahs, which stand amongst the palm trees. Our route will take us through Kela’a M’gouna, the Valley Of Roses, and Dades Canyon, where we will stay overnight.
Day 2: We will explore the Dades Canyon as we drive to Boumaine Dades. We will then drive to Toudgha, where we will observe the unique gorges that stand up to 700m high. We will enjoy the delicious Moroccan cuisine in Turoug, and then drive to the famous dunes of Erg Chebbi via the Oasis of Tafilalet, Erfoud, and Rissani. After a glass of tea, our transportation will change from a vehicle to a camel!
We will take a camel ride in the desert, to the top of the dunes, the best spot to watch a sunset in all of Morocco. We will return to the bivouac for an unforgettable night of dinner and an overnight in tents.
Day 3: We will wake up early and watch the beautiful sunrise, and observe how the color of the dunes change as the shadows and light interact with each other. We will then visit the market of Rissani, the first imperial city in Morocco.
As we continue through the Draa valley, which is full of villages and hidden Kasbahs. You will be able to see the amazing landscapes and geological forms. We will then return through the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakesh.
