Trip Info

The worldly traveler has the opportunity to engage in a heritage-history tour of a lifetime. Sample itinerary included below – however custom options are encouraged to be explored in order to enhance the personal experience for the traveler(s). Day 01: Arrive Chennai (Madras)
Arrive Chennai and welcome by a representative of our agency and then transfer to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Chennai – Kanchipuram – Mahabalipuram [140 km / h 4] Early breakfast. Then visit the main areas of the capital of the state of Tamil Nadu with many green spaces: Fort St. George, the Cathedral of St. Thomas, the Temple of Kapalswera. Departure to Kanchipuram “the Golden City” one of the seven holy cities of Hinduism are Consecrate to worship Shiva & Vishnu. Day 05: Tanjore – Trichy – Thanjavur [120km / h 3] Breakfast. In the morning visit to the Temple of Tanjore & Brihadishivera and bronze Museum. Then drive to Tiruchirapalli (Trichy easily – 60 km) & visit 3 km from the island of Srirangam Ranganatha & Son Sanctuary, a real city temple has an exceptional activity. Return to the hotel Tanjore.

Day 06: Tanjore – Chettinadu [120 km / h 3] Breakfast. Road to Chettinadu which preserves beautiful houses built by wealthy merchants. Visits: houses, market, crafts (wood, metal, silver, textiles …). The Chattiar, erected in the nineteenth century baroque houses and palaces quite amazing sometimes abandoned or restored and inhabited, they all contain an incomparable charm. Overnight at hotel.

Day 07: Chettinadu – Madurai [110 km / h 2] Breakfast. Drive to Madurai. Arrival and visit this great city of Tamil Nadu, which can be considered as the religious and cultural capital of the Tamil country. Day entirely dedicated to visit the city and its Meenakshi Temple. This temple is dedicated to Meenakshi, the woman with fish eyes, ancient warlike local deity, who is said to have three breasts and “fish eyes”. After breakfast, you discover beautiful panoramas today when you wander the mountain range (Western Ghats) leading to the small village of Periyar, near the Lake Periyar National Park in the middle of the spice plantations. Visit the Periyar National Park. The afternoon of the road to Munnar. Drive to Munnar. Located at 1700m, Munnar is a haven of peace and freshness surrounded by hills covered with tea plantations. You will see on Mount Rajamalai, the Nilgiri Thar (mountain goats). Free time for shopping its spice, tea, coffee etc. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10: Munnar – Kumarakom [200 km / h 4] After breakfast walk in the plantations. Then drive to Kumarakom. Arrival at the hotel.

Day: 11: Kumarakom – Alleppey [the backwater cruise in] Installation in a houseboat. This traditional boat once used to transport goods, has been converted into “floating room” with bathroom and small dining room. A picturesque world of stagnant rivers sail the house boat. You can browse the Vembanad Lake. The Vembanad Lake which is also a bird sanctuary. Over water, you are driven to the heart of an idyllic landscape of artificial and natural canals and small lakes lined with water lilies, lush green paddy fields, coconut groves, palm trees, … Lunch and dinner on the house boat. Night on the house boat.

Day 12: Alleppey – Cochin [60 km / h 2] Breakfast on house boat. Disembark at Alleppey. Your house boat ends at Alleppey. Then depart for Cochin. Arrive Cochin. On arrival at your hotel. In the evening you can watch the elaborate make-up Kathakali dancers and dance performance. Overnight at hotel.

Day 13: Cochin – Departure In the morning tour of Cochin Dutchman Mattancherry Palace, The St. Francois Xavier to church, Chinese nets. Then transfer to the airport for the return. End of our services.
