Trip Info

If you’re looking action packed day set amid the grand views of Idaho’s Sawtoth Mountains and South Fork Payette River, look no further! The Payette River Company offers one day whitewater rafting trips on three different sections of the South Fork Payette River in order to better suit your needs and preferences.  All one day trips include lunch, to keep you fuelled and fired up for the rafting ahead, as well as all river gear and transportation from Lowman.  The Grandjean Section is perfect for a more relaxing creek-like feel.  View the local wildlife and take in the picturesque mountain views.  If you’re thinking you won’t get an authentic whitewater experience, don’t be alarmed, this section does have a couple class three rapids.  The Helende Section has class three rapids as well, and leaves time for a some swimming and a visit to Kirkham hotsprings – perfect for ages five and up.  The Canyon Section is the roughest of the three.  Boasting both class three and class four rapids, The Canyon Section is sure to get your heart pumping.  This trip is good for ages 12 and up and we ask that you be somewhat physically fit.
