Watch These Insider Tips to Skiing in Whistler

In Canada, the famous Whistler Mountain resort area is the key destination for many. Who can blame them? There’s a reason some of the world’s top athletes train here: it’s worth it.

This video featuring travel writer Robin Esrock shows us what it’s like to get an insider perspective of British Columbia’s most famous destination. Seeing as how there are two mountains, 8,100 acres, and 200 runs, it really does pay to have a local Whistler guide and especially a ski guide, to show you around Blackcomb and Whistler. Combined with some stunning imagery, this video will have you packing your bags pretty quick.

What’s so great about this video about Whistler, BC is that Robin’s host really does show us a side of the resort we might never know about otherwise. Getting up at 7AM to hit the slopes is one of the most valuable pieces of advice you’ll find: you get to beat the rush AND you can start the morning with a delicious breakfast atop a mountain. How many people get to do that?

But if it’s more than just snow fun you’re seeking, Whistler has a ton of options. Matt Delaney can take you on a multisport tour, which includes whitewater rafting and hiking. Scott Green can take you mountain biking. And if you’d prefer to take it easy and lounge around the resort area, there are plenty of luxury opportunities for that as well. Clearly, Whistler is not only just for the adventurous type!
