A Giant School of Rays Flying…Above Water!

There’s no question the ocean is a dramatic environment. And one that we barely understand. In fact, we know more about the moon than about the deep chasms in the world’s five oceans. The following video is proof: no one understands why tens of thousands of mobular rays migrated to the coast of Baja a few years ago. But what we do know is the footage of them flying above water is some of the most dramatic video ever captured.

If you want to understand the ocean a bit better, we recommend going on a guided whale watching excursion with the likes of Captain Tom, an acclaimed orca expert based in Victoria, Canada or Luis Munoz who will take you to see Humpback whales off the coast of Mexico. Or perhaps you’d rather be in the water on a snorkelling trip, or, swimming with dolphins in the Amazon or, if you’re really adventurous, on a shark dive in California with Andy Murch. Whatever your preference, whether it’s fishing, sailing, kayaking or surfing, you’ll learn so much more about this dramatic environment with the help of a guide.
