Best Statue + Tourist Pics Ever!

It goes without saying there are some incredible statues on earth. Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro and The Statue of Liberty in New York City are some of the most famous, but even in many smaller locales you’ll find monuments to a particular person, animal, thing, or event. Not to mention all the museums around the world that feature the likes of Michelangelo’s David (in Florence) or Venus de Milo in the Louvre in Paris. It’s true that most of these are considered powerful works of art, but sometimes it’s hard not to clown around with them you know?

Hiring a tour guide is the best and easiest way to see some of the most amazing monuments in the cities and towns around the planet and, because most of them have excellent senses of humour, no doubt they’d enjoy photographing you enjoying a silly moment. Whether it’s reaching out towards the hand of a bronze Zeus in the Archeological Museum in Athens or emulating Rodin’s The Thinker in Kentucky, USA, it’s always fun to clown around with statues. Here are some of our favourite photographs of people doing just that. Maybe they too hired a tour guide to show them these cool sites.
