GuideAdvisor Welcomes its First Guide in Vietnam

GuideAdvisor, a website dedicated to showcasing tour guides and adventure guides around the world, welcomes its first guide in Vietnam with a hearty, “chào đón.”

Phan Thanh Binh is a guide with Pedaltours Ltd. who offers bicycling sightseeing tours in Vietnam, specifically around the city of Hanoi. Born and raised in Ban Me Thuot in central Vietnam, Binh speaks both English and Vietnamese and has been guiding cycle tours throughout his country for Pedaltours for over 10 years. He is also a professional cycle mechanic and loves to take photographs, cook and play guitar. “I have a passion for biking, invaluable knowledge of this stunningly beautiful country and a great sense of humour,” he says. “I’ll make your visit to Vietnam the trip of a lifetime.”

One of the trips Binh offers is a 16-day Vietnam Explorer Cycle Tour that begins in Hanoi and then travels through Hue, built on the banks of the Perfume River and steeped in 3,000 years of history, over the Hai Van Pass where the views are well worth the effort, through cassava and sugar plantations in Tuy Hoa and then finishes with a boat trip to the outer islands near Saigon.

Launched in October 2013, GuideAdvisor is now the fastest growing website dedicated to showcasing guides around the planet. Currently there are guides on the site based in North America, South America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and others but Binh is the first on the site from Vietnam.

“We are creating GuideAdvisor because we believe it is the people who you share an experience with that make the experience.” says  founder Nick Clayton.  ”Our goal is to ‘spread the word’ about great guides, using detailed profiles and traveler reviews to help travelers find the perfect guide for them.”
