William Underhill is a writer, journalist and editor with extensive experience in Britain and abroad. He has written for a wide range of newspapers and magazines including The Economist, Scientific American, The New York Times, The Guardian, The Times, The Daily Telegraph, and Architect (US).
Among his particular interests are British politics and history, London and the City, and the history and architecture of Oxford. William Underhill is a member of the Oxford Guild of Guides and offers private tours of the city and university. He has published a guide to the Thames waterfront in London and co-authored a catalogue of the treasures of the Hermitage in St Petersburg.
Educated at Oxford University, he now lives in Oxford and is a member of the Oxford Guild of Guides.
