Guide Bio

I´ve been obsessed with history and traveling since I was a child. When, our isolation in the eastern block ended, I flew to explore the world. I spent some time in the US and then several years in Latin America, particularly in Mexico, Peru, Venezuela and Colombia. In 1992 I became a certified guide. I started to fully devote myself to it after returning to my homeland in 2009. While traveling I learned that the amount of knowledge and experience of all journeys increases dramatically when you meet a good guide with a good story to tell . Suddenly everything around you starts to make sense (buildings, frescoes, sculptures). Český Krumlov is a magical town with a unique history and an extraordinary architecture. Which is unprecedented in central Europe. If you are traveling through the area it would be a great pity to také back only pictures and no stories.

We loved the tour with Wanda! She was very engaging and personable. The tour was very informative, and , after nearly three weeks, i still remember a lot of information she provided. Moreover, she shared her personal insight and experiences – something I found very valuable. If you are in Chesky Krumlov, we steoungly recommwnd her!

Wanda (“Vanda”) was so great! On 2 hour bus she gave lots of interesting background on history of Czech Republic and 200 years of politics. Sometimes funny sometimes serious, always fascinating. Tour of the city was great. She painted everything in very human terms, making the castle and city come alive. Stories funny, silly, and tragic but always entertaining and informative. Pointed out great places to shop and eat – solid advice all. Trip back was full of her selected Czech music which was enjoyable and relaxing. Very highly recommended!!!!
