Historic route of Ethiopia
I have been a professional guide taking travelers to Ethiopia’s remote spots since 2001. Travelling to more than 18 countries, I have attended business meetings and short-term training courses related to tourism. I studied Tourism at Cathering and Tourism Training Institute where I received my diploma. I also studied Political Science and International Studies at Addis Ababa University. For more than 10 years, I have worked as a freelance instructor at four tourism institutes and colleges. I enjoy sharing my experiences with tourists and meeting with various tour operators at business exhibitions.
In 2006, I became founder and Managing Director at Off-Road Ethiopia Plc. The company’s goal is to show adventurous tourists places untouched and unpolluted in Ethiopia. We go “off the beaten path”. That said, we have a strong sense of the environment and ensure the history and culture of the areas remain safe and unharmed. All tours are environmentally-safe and environmentally-friendly.
Our guides are trained and have vast knowledge of the sites, land and local communities. They all speak English and are mechanically-inclined in case of vehicle breakdown.
We have fully equipped camping sites including cooks to prepare healthy meals, even Western meals.
Accredited by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, we are also a member of the Ethiopian Tours Operators Association.
There is no stone left uncovered in the four corners, no villages not walked in and no mountains not trekked in. We specialize in guiding enthusiastic travelers looking for something out of the usual.
