Guide Bio

I am an adventure guide from Nepal with a company that has a non-profit making partnership with the monks of Tengboche Monastery and James Lamb, based in the UK. As a fully registered trekking agency with the Nepali government, the monks have handpicked very experienced and fully qualified guides, who all speak English. All guides and porters are local to the Solukhumbu region and are Sherpas and Buddhists with an intimate knowledge and understanding of the area, its customs and culture.

I was a monk a few years ago from the Tengboche Monastery. I have good experience with Buddhism and I am from the Khumbu region. I am a Sherpa as well. I have climbed many mountains in the region as well. I would enjoy leading a trek for those interested. I would also enjoy explaining or teaching about Buddhism or about the Sherpa culture.

I can speak good English from my own studies and from interacting with people over the years. I have been throughout India and Tibet. I can guide to all places in Nepal.

Tengboche Trekking

We are a unique non-profit making partnership between the monks of Tengboche Monastery and James Lamb, based in the UK. Our aim is to promote sustainable tourism with a legacy. We endeavour to provide you with a mind-blowing experience while employing entirely indigenous people and using our profits to provide help for local families who have lost a member due to a climbing incident.
