Guide at a Glance
Sylvain Drapeau owns and operates Escapade Eskimo with his wife. He is a wood scaler as well as a wildlife and wood product transformation technician. Together with his wife, Caroline Desrosiers, they purchased 200 acres of land in the Municipality of Otter Lake. Their love for dog sledding has convinced them to move to the country so that they can enjoy our cold, harsh winters and that they established the business for adventure. It was his François Bruneau who gave Sylavin the passion for dog sledding. He has been practising this sport since 1985.
His Kennel now has 24 dogs, and they are descendants from his uncle’s dog Mouki. He established his enterprise in the spring of 2004 and named it after his uncle’s lead dog, Kimo.
